The University of Georgia’s College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, in partnership with North Dakota’s Grand Farm, officially commenced construction earlier this month on the UGA Grand Farm located in Perry, Georgia.

This 250-acre area will serve as a center for agricultural innovation initiatives, showcasing novel technologies and automation geared towards specialty crops from Georgia and the Southeastern region. The initial projects are anticipated to launch this year.

Field demonstrations coinciding with the 2nd Integrative Precision Agriculture Conference, organized by UGA’s Institute for Integrative Precision Agriculture, took place in Perry alongside the groundbreaking ceremony. Grand Farm collaborators and representatives from the CAES Precision Horticulture Lab presented their cutting-edge technologies to attendees of the conference.
