By Greg Hart, CEO of Coursera

I’m thrilled to share that Patrick Supanc has become a part of Coursera as our new Chief Product Officer, effective today.
Patrick brings extensive expertise, merging a profound comprehension of customer requirements with a solid history of fostering innovation and achieving business outcomes. During nearly a decade at Amazon, he contributed to the development of products such as Prime, Amazon Hub, and Kindle, and before that, he spearheaded digital learning advancements at Pearson and Blackboard. His experience in both technology and education positions him perfectly to steer product strategy and provide groundbreaking experiences for learners, partners, and clients across the globe.
Patrick earned an AB in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University and a Master’s in Public Policy with a focus on Political and Economic Development from Harvard Kennedy School.
I also want to commend the outstanding efforts of our product and engineering teams, whose commitment and creativity have propelled Coursera’s growth over the previous year. From the rollout of AI translations, Coursera Coach, and Course Builder — only months after the launch of ChatGPT — to our recent releases of AI-dubbed courses and career-based discovery, their input has enabled Coursera to provide top-notch learning experiences on a large scale.
As we grow our leadership team, we’re eager to build on this momentum — delivering pioneering learning experiences and generating more chances for our global community. Please join me in welcoming Patrick as we collaborate to mold the future of education.
