“FSU Welcomes You: Exciting Summer Activities for Incoming and Current Students”

Prospective and returning scholars can engage and familiarize themselves with Florida State University this summer through “Welcome FSU,” a lineup of captivating events commencing on Friday, June 20, and running through Saturday, June 28. These programs and activities emphasize social, wellness, and educational initiatives while officially welcoming each semester.

During the “Welcome FSU” initiation, students can discover the over 700 student organizations, seven student government departments, 54 fraternities and sororities, and more than 40 intramural sports available at FSU.

“We anticipate demonstrating to all students how we are dedicated to supporting them throughout their academic experience,” stated Amy Hecht, vice president for Student Affairs. “The events and activities available during this week showcase several ways students can participate at FSU, foster their community, and access valuable resources.”

“Welcome FSU” complements the Division of Student Affairs’ year-round “Hello FSU!” initiative, collaborating with campus partners to emphasize significant campus events, programs, activities, and services tailored for undergraduate students:

  • The Weekly Top 5 – A selected compilation of the week’s most significant events, programs, activities, and deadlines. (Debuts every Monday throughout the academic year on #HelloFSU social media and at hello.fsu.edu.)
  • How to FSU – Connects students with instructional resources and online manuals to assist in navigating various campus procedures.
  • Success Tips – Identifies resources and offers life management strategies to aid students in their academic and personal pursuits.
  • Spotlight Stories – Highlighted feature stories on programs, services, and individuals from across campus.
  • ICYMI – In Case You Missed It, delivers an additional reminder for essential events or crucial actions.

To keep informed with the Division of Student Affairs, follow them on Instagram, Facebook, X, and the FSU Calendar.
