The Association for the Promotion of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) has recently granted Washington University in St. Louis a gold status accreditation.

This accolade signifies the third successive cycle that WashU has achieved gold status in AASHE’s Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS) since the reporting commenced in 2012. The STARS initiative encourages ongoing, exemplary sustainability programs currently established, as well as pathways for institutions making initial strides toward sustainable practices and operations.

Following several gold achievements in consecutive cycles, the Office of Sustainability is set to devise a strategy for advancing to the next tier of accreditation. Discover more on the sustainability website.
