Josh Walehwa has been designated as associate vice chancellor and chief of staff for Nichol Luoma, the executive vice chancellor for administration and chief administrative officer at Washington University in St. Louis, effective June 2.

Most recently, Walehwa acted as executive chief of staff to the executive vice president for administration and finance at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he provided counsel to executive leadership, handled communications, and facilitated cross-campus collaboration.
He previously worked at WashU as an executive management fellow within the office of the executive vice chancellor and held earlier leadership roles at the Brown School and the Office of Residential Life.
At present, Walehwa is a member of the Brown School Eliot Society Committee and serves as the board chair for Teach St. Louis. Additionally, he was recently chosen for the 2025-26 National Association of College and University Business Officers Fellows Program, a comprehensive leadership development initiative.
