USC commencement 2025: Essential information for attendees
COMMENCEMENT: A large number of individuals are anticipated on the University Park Campus for USC’s 142nd commencement festivities this week. Planning in advance is advisable.
The Trojan Family will gather to observe USC’s 142nd commencement this week through more than 100 activities, including the principal ceremony Thursday evening at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
Thousands of graduates, relatives, and friends are expected to attend, and all should allocate ample time for the airport-style security process before all commencement functions. The university advises that participants arrive at least two hours prior to their event.
A “clear bag” policy will be enforced. Bags, backpacks, and other containers will be forbidden with the following exceptions:
- Each attendee may bring one clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bag that does not exceed 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches, or a 1-gallon clear plastic storage bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
- Participants may also carry a small clutch purse or handbag roughly the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap.
Tickets are necessary for graduates and their families and friends.
