The University of Georgia persistently reinforces its position among the nation’s premier institutions, attaining high accolades in The Princeton Review’s 2025 rankings for its remarkable combination of academic distinction, affordability, and post-graduation success. These rankings emphasize UGA’s increasingly prestigious status as a sought-after university for outstanding scholars from across the nation and worldwide.

In the 2025 Princeton Review best colleges list, UGA secured the No. 12 spot among the top 50 best value public universities, showcasing its robust integration of educational accomplishments and return on investment.

The institution also earned the No. 8 position for best alumni networks among public universities, No. 10 for access to financial support, and No. 16 for internship placement.

“It is rewarding to witness the University of Georgia ranked among the top universities in the nation,” stated President Jere W. Morehead. “These achievements reflect the commitment and skill of our outstanding faculty, staff, and students whose contributions continually enhance the university’s reputation and influence.”

This acknowledgment from The Princeton Review contributes to UGA’s recent national honors from various ranking organizations.

In Money Magazine’s latest rankings, UGA received 4.5 out of 5 stars, with the publication underscoring the university’s exceptional graduation rate, extensive access to financial aid, and the remarkable number of students who achieve prestigious national accolades.

Niche rated UGA at No. 11 among public universities nationwide, granting the university an overall grade of A+, its highest honor. UGA also attained distinguished rankings in several subcategories, including No. 1 in the U.S. for student life, No. 5 for sports management, No. 6 for business, No. 7 for communication, and No. 12 for best college campuses.

This national acknowledgment arrives as UGA welcomes one of its most accomplished incoming classes in history. For fall 2025, the university received over 47,860 first-year applications, ultimately enrolling more than 6,200 first-year students.

This remarkable class enters with an average GPA of 4.17, an average SAT score of 1356, and an average ACT score of 31 — alongside an average of 11 rigorous AP, IB, or dual enrollment courses completed per student.

“The University of Georgia continues to gain recognition among the finest public universities in the country,” remarked Benjamin C. Ayers, senior vice president for academic affairs and provost. “These rankings reflect our steadfast dedication to excellence in our teaching, research, and service endeavors.”
