The UGA Performing Arts Center invites the finest in classical, jazz, and roots music to its stages. Now, visitors to the PAC’s Lobby Gallery can enjoy more than four months with some of Georgia’s most prominent pop icons.

“Living Legends of Georgia Music” is an exhibition created by Georgia watercolor artist Jackie Dorsey. It opens on Aug. 25 and continues until Jan. 5, 2026. The opening reception will be held on Aug. 28 from 5-6 p.m.

Dorsey is a celebrated artist residing in Athens. In this collection, she honors eight living legends from Georgia, including the Indigo Girls, Big Boi of Outkast, and Mike Mills of R.E.M. These artworks, stemming from Dorsey’s personal photo sessions, represent a smaller portion of a larger exhibition previously displayed during the summer of 2023 at the Lyndon House Arts Center in Athens. An expanded version will be presented at the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art in the fall of 2026.
