Nine faculty members from the University of Georgia have been selected as 2025 Special Collections Faculty Teaching Fellows, a program aimed at assisting educators in developing active learning courses that enable students to interact with UGA Libraries’ archival resources.

The latest group encompasses a wide range of academic disciplines, including African American Studies, history, music, religious studies, Spanish, as well as geography, political science, and statistics.

“We are thrilled to introduce our 10th cohort into the Special Collections Libraries Faculty Teaching Fellows program,” remarked university librarian and associate provost Toby Graham. “Since 2015, SCL Fellows have designed approximately 100 archive-based courses and engaged thousands of students in practical experiences that reflect UGA’s dedication to active learning.”
