FSU’s Opening Nights Tickets Available Starting August 7

Opening Nights at Florida State University will commence public ticket sales for its 2025-2026 season, themed “Opening Minds,” on Friday, Aug. 7. This season showcases artists, intellectuals, and performers.

“Under the ‘Opening Minds’ banner, we’re encouraging the community to engage with performances that defy conventions and spark discussions,” stated Kevin Maynard, executive director of Opening Nights. “Each event in this season has been curated with intentionality, and we are thrilled to present it to you.”

Featuring renowned figures such as Jeff Goldblum and James Patterson alongside innovative groups and emerging talents, this season guarantees exceptional experiences that will captivate, motivate, and unite attendees throughout Tallahassee.

7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Opperman Music Hall

Kendell Marvel is a Grammy-awarded songwriter and vibrant vocalist whose compelling mix of outlaw country and Southern rock has distinguished him in Nashville and beyond. Hailing from southern Illinois, Marvel began performing in bars at the age of 10 and crafted his first significant hit, Gary Allan’s “Right Where I Need to Be,” on his very first day in Nashville.
