Embark on a journey through Georgia’s musical heritage, highlighted by a complimentary curator-led event at the University of Georgia Libraries’ Georgia Music Collections exhibition, currently showcased at the Akins Ford Arena within the Classic Center.

Ryan Lewis, the music curator for the Special Collections Libraries at UGA, will guide attendees through an exhibit that spotlights over 200 iconic musicians, ranging from Arrested Development to Whisperin’ Bill Anderson. These complimentary tours of the exhibition are included in this month’s Third Thursday festivities, commencing at 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, February 20.

While highlighting the stage attire, instruments, merchandise, and various memorabilia featured, Lewis will recount anecdotes about the recording journey, behind-the-scenes revelations, concert experiences, and other narratives of the artists who have shaped Georgia’s musical landscape.
