Unique galactic insights
Challenge the boundaries of your cosmic intelligence by participating in our quiz based on Harvard astronomy research
There’s nothing quite as captivating as gazing up at the sky on a moonless night and catching sight of the luminous path we refer to as the Milky Way. Over 400 years ago, Galileo observed the Milky Way through a basic telescope, discovering that it was composed of countless individual stars. Presently, we understand significantly more about our own galaxy and an abundance of others, yet numerous crucial inquiries remain open.
Researchers at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian are investigating some of our most pressing inquiries regarding galaxies. We consulted CfA researcher and Harvard Ph.D. candidate Vedant Chandra to contribute to this quiz about what we have discovered thus far, and what yet awaits exploration.
Research from the CfA is backed by the Smithsonian, a federally supported trust.
