The State Botanical Garden at the University of Georgia has recently commenced enhancements to its roadway. This marks the initial phase of a series of upgrades planned for the garden in the coming years, referred to as the Gateway to the Garden initiative.

The Gateway to the Garden initiative will feature a revamped entrance, enhanced trail access, and additional parking spaces to accommodate the growing number of guests the State Botanical Garden receives each year. The Office of the Provost at the University of Georgia financed the first phase of the project to tackle infrastructure requirements along the garden’s roadway.

“We are delighted to start work on the Gateway to the Garden initiative, which will aid us in welcoming more guests to the garden and support our mission to foster an environment conducive to learning, inspiration, and engagement in an inclusive manner,” remarked the garden’s director, Jenny Cruse-Sanders. “We are profoundly appreciative to the Office of the Provost for their assistance in launching this project.”
