A fresh widespread malware initiative is infiltrating users with a cryptocurrency mining software called SilentCryptoMiner, disguising it as a tool intended to bypass internet barriers and limitations on web services.
Russian cybersecurity firm Kaspersky noted that this activity is part of a broader pattern where cybercriminals are progressively utilizing Windows Packet Divert (WPD) utilities to disseminate malware.
