The trio, who collaboratively manage the architectural firm AVV A, were chosen from 60 candidates as Exhibit Columbus’ University Design Research Fellows, along with five additional teams. Their fellowship involved collaborating with the Columbus Area Visitors Center. Roughly 20 WashU architecture students supported the faculty in developing the work during the summer.

Exhibit Columbus is an initiative of the Landmark Columbus Foundation and an inquiry into community, architecture, art, and design that animates the contemporary legacy of Columbus, Ind. It establishes a biannual cycle of programming that utilizes the context of Columbus to facilitate discussions around inventive concepts and consequently commissions site-specific installations.
