Roccabianca became a part of McKelvey Engineering as an associate professor in August 2024, coming from Michigan State University, where she had been involved with the Department of Mechanical Engineering since 2014, most recently as an associate professor.
The Center for Women’s Health Engineering unites researchers from McKelvey Engineering and WashU Medicine to work collaboratively on research, education, and training at undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral levels.
Roccabianca intends to assemble an advisory committee to improve strategic planning for the center.
“I am enthusiastic about the chance to contribute to the center’s ongoing achievements,” she remarked. “I will continue to organize the annual research symposium and aim to establish awards for trainees who are excelling in this field.”
