Requirements

For use with their app’s software and the Monitor feature, students using it must have a webcam that has been activated and configured. When activated, this function will capture each student’s video and voice as they complete an online, unattended test. Instructors can see this recording once the exam has been turned in on Respondus Dashboard.
Students can contact the MSC staff at the ITS Help Desk by dialing (540) 857-4000 or sending an email to [email protected] if they are experiencing issues with the Monitor feature and are unable to fix them on their own.
Using LockDown Browser as a component of the quiz, instructors can design an ungraded practice exam that requires the application and make it accessible until its due dates have passed. If a graded quiz needing it is created as normal in Canvas without first scheduling its availability dates, students won’t be able to take it until then. After it has been completed, students can view their scores using My Grades.
Installation
