The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) announced on Thursday that ransomware perpetrators are focusing on unupdated SimpleHelp Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) systems to breach clients of a confidential utility billing software supplier.
“This occurrence illustrates a wider trend of ransomware criminals aiming at entities via outdated iterations of SimpleHelp.”
