Cybersecurity analysts have identified a recent phishing initiative that employs counterfeit voicemails and purchase requests to distribute a malware loader known as UpCrypter.
The initiative utilizes “meticulously designed emails to convey harmful URLs associated with convincing phishing sites,” stated Fortinet FortiGuard Labs expert Cara Lin. “These sites aim to lure recipients into downloading JavaScript.”
