Moldovan law enforcement officials have apprehended a 45-year-old foreign individual alleged to be connected to a range of ransomware incidents aimed at Dutch firms in 2021.
“He is sought internationally for perpetrating multiple cyber offenses (ransomware incidents, extortion, and financial laundering) against businesses located in the Netherlands,” authorities stated in a release on Monday.
