The Massachusetts Institute of Technology will conduct a virtual press briefing featuring Prof. Daron Acemoglu, Prof. Simon Johnson, and President Sally Kornbluth later this morning at 10:00 AM ET in light of the announcement that Acemoglu and Johnson have been awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics for their research on “how institutions are created and influence prosperity.” Prior to the achievement of Acemoglu and Johnson this morning, 101 graduates, faculty, researchers, and personnel at MIT have been Nobel laureates.
