Cloudflare announced on Thursday that it independently thwarted the largest distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) assault ever noted, reaching a maximum of 7.3 terabits per second (Tbps).
This attack, identified in mid-May 2025, aimed at an undisclosed hosting service.
“Hosting services and essential Internet infrastructure have progressively turned into prime targets for DDoS attacks,” stated Cloudflare’s Omer.
