Book enthusiasts gather on campus for the L.A. Times Festival of Books
Tens of thousands participated on the USC University Park Campus for the nation’s foremost literary festival.
In spite of a wet beginning, the 30th annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books attracted thousands of literary enthusiasts to USC’s University Park Campus over the weekend. Participants relished engaging panels, enlightening discussions, musical acts (featuring gifted Trojans) and stalls filled with literary products.
USC specialists were present throughout the celebrations. The USC Trojan Marching Band launched the event on Saturday morning; experts from Keck Medicine of USC offered health assessments at various booths, and USC faculty shared their knowledge in panels covering various topics from the housing crisis to equality in climate initiatives. This event — recognized as the largest literary festival in the nation — draws over 160,000 attendees annually.
