Jim Moran Institute to Launch New Small Business Initiative for the Forgotten Coast

The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship (JMI), which is a division of Florida State University’s Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship, is initiating the upcoming Forgotten Coast Small Business Program tailored for small business proprietors in Franklin County, Fla., and nearby regions. This program will take place weekly from April 8 to April 29, 2025.

Formatted to fit the demanding schedules of small business proprietors, this initiative is exceptional for CEOs, entrepreneurs, heads of small enterprises, and their direct successors. Attendees will enhance their leadership capabilities, ready to seize business prospects, execute best management practices, and transform obstacles into strategic benefits.

“We are thrilled to present this expert-led initiative to our local Forgotten Coast community,” commented Marina Lickson, JMI’s northwest Florida director. “This undertaking highlights our dedication to equipping small business proprietors with the essential tools and insights necessary to flourish in today’s competitive environment.”

This complimentary program is structured to foster long-term strategies, devise action plans, and connect with fellow entrepreneurs along with members of the JMI’s network for guidance and assistance. Each session is curated to offer invaluable insights and techniques tailored to the distinct challenges encountered by small business leaders.

Owing to the backing of The Jim Moran Foundation and Jan Moran, the program is provided at no charge to selected participants.

“At the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship, we are devoted to aiding small business proprietors who stimulate innovation and economic advancement in our communities,” stated Dean Susan Fiorito of the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship. “The Forgotten Coast Small Business Program is a reflection of that dedication, furnishing local innovators with the knowledge and resources required for their success.”

Potential applicants are urged to apply without delay, as enrollment is limited. Sessions are scheduled for the following dates: April 8, 15, 22, and 29.
