Feng Jiao, the Lauren and Lee Fixel Distinguished Professor of Energy, Environmental and Chemical Engineering at the McKelvey School of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, has been designated a fellow by the American Chemical Society (ACS). Jiao was acknowledged for his groundbreaking contributions to the domain of carbon dioxide utilization as well as for his role as program chair in the ACS Division of Energy and Fuels.

Jiao is among 36 individuals within the society awarded fellow status in 2025 and is part of an exclusive collective of over 1,400 scientists who have received this accolade, which recognizes ACS members for exceptional accomplishments in and contributions to science, the profession, and society.
