The Jerusalem Quartet is esteemed for its rich, resonant sound, along with its mastery of a diverse array of repertoires and remarkable emotional depth.
A consistent and cherished performer on the world’s prestigious concert platforms, the ensemble will grace Hodgson Concert Hall once again on May 2 at 7:30 p.m. with a selection from a trio of composers who have made significant impacts on the chamber music repertoire: Haydn, Shostakovich, and Brahms.
Since its inception in 1993 and the initial performance in 1995, the musicians have embarked on a path of evolution and development. The ensemble has established its essence in a warm, resonant sound and an equitable balance between high and low tones.
The 2024-2025 season celebrates the quartet’s 30th milestone.
Join the audience for a pre-performance discussion led by Theresa Chafin in Ramsey Concert Hall from 6:45-7:15 p.m.
This performance is made possible through the support of Joan Fischer.
