During the last fortnight, fourteen new first-year engineering scholars experienced a glimpse of university life, acquiring skills to manage their coursework and extracurricular commitments.
The third annual University of Georgia Engineering Academic Boot Camp, organized by the College of Engineering, wrapped up on Friday, July 26, with a luncheon for new students, their families, faculty, staff, and supporters.
This rigorous, two-week experience aids new students in acclimating to campus life and equips them for collegiate-level courses. Aiming to foster achievement at UGA, camp attendees engage in lectures, fulfill assignments and projects, partake in evaluations, and attend skills workshops, all while mastering effective study and time-management techniques in a supportive setting.
