Professionals in child welfare and students at Florida State University College of Social Work frequently encounter obstacles in acquiring the essential abilities for proficient observation and interviewing in real-world contexts.
Currently, FSU’s Information Technology Services (ITS), in partnership with the Florida Institute for Child Welfare, (FICW) is introducing a virtual training solution intended to enhance practical abilities through an engaging AI-driven tool that aids the educational progress of university students and aspiring child welfare investigators and case managers.
“This development is a significant milestone for our social work students, as it equips them with the practical abilities and experiences necessary to succeed in their upcoming careers via a virtual platform,” stated David Springer, dean of the College of Social Work. “By providing a realistic and immersive training resource, we are ensuring that our students are well-equipped to make a substantial contribution in the domain of child welfare and social work.”
