Cloudflare announced on Tuesday that it thwarted 7.3 million distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) assaults in the second quarter of 2025, marking a notable decrease from the 20.5 million DDoS assaults it countered in the prior quarter.
“All in all, during Q2 2025, hyper-volumetric DDoS attacks surged dramatically,” stated Omer Yoachimik and Jorge Pacheco. “Cloudflare obstructed more than 6,500 hyper-volumetric DDoS attacks, which averages to 71.”
