The University of Georgia will observe Honors Week 2025 from March 31 to April 4, featuring an array of activities that underscore the remarkable achievements of the university’s students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

“Honors Week is an occasion to commend the successes of individuals who contribute to making the University of Georgia one of the leading public universities in the nation,” stated S. Jack Hu, senior vice president for academia and provost. “Our university community expresses gratitude to the outstanding faculty, staff, students, and alumni who will be celebrated this year for their devotion to excellence.”

The legacy of Honors Week at UGA dates back to the 1930s, initiated when then-Chancellor S.V. Sanford designated a day to honor exceptional students. In 2011, the celebration expanded to a full week to incorporate events honoring faculty, staff, and alumni.
