The infamous cybercriminal organization referred to as Scattered Spider (also known as UNC3944), which recently focused on several retailers in the U.K. and U.S., has started to aim at significant insurance firms, as reported by Google Threat Intelligence Group (GTIG).

“Google Threat Intelligence Group has now detected numerous breaches in the U.S. that exhibit all the characteristics of Scattered Spider’s operations,” stated John Hultquist, chief analyst.
