Florida State University’s Information Technology Services (ITS) recently united the campus community for a half-day symposium focused on defining the future of technology and innovation at the institution.
The RISE Together Showcase — an acronym representing research & instruction, innovation & modernization, security & compliance, and engagement & student success — comprised three session blocks with 15 presentations from faculty, staff, and student interns. Participants had the opportunity to discover technological progressions occurring at FSU’s campus. Additionally, the event featured a poster session where ITS student interns showcased their research projects.
“It was motivating to witness numerous members of the FSU community come together to interact with the innovations reshaping our campus,” remarked Jonathan Fozard, FSU associate vice president and chief information officer. “We’re not merely testing emerging technologies; we’re spearheading national dialogues and producing tangible outcomes. The enthusiasm and teamwork from this conference amplify my anticipation for what lies ahead at FSU.”
