Franklin County Entrepreneurs Unite: A Program by FSU’s Jim Moran Institute

Florida State University’s Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship (JMI) is organizing a community bootcamp in Franklin County this August.

The Accelerate Franklin Entrepreneurship Program (AFEP) aims to assist rising entrepreneurs eager to transform existing idea-stage, micro, and small enterprises into sustainable operations in Franklin County and neighboring communities.

The bootcamps are set for three consecutive Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 8, 15, and 22 at the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve in Eastpoint, Fla. A networking lunch will be offered at each bootcamp.

The AFEP Bootcamp provides practical exposure to the essentials of initiating and expanding a successful venture, guided by experienced faculty from Florida State University and accomplished entrepreneurs.

Various subjects will be addressed throughout the three sessions, including the creation of a viable business concept, market analysis, profit model design, proper operational setup, marketing strategies for your venture, and understanding fundamental financial figures.
