Florida State University is set to hold a Celebration of Life to honor President Emeritus John Thrasher at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, in Ruby Diamond Concert Hall.

Thrasher, who died on May 30 at the age of 81, was the university’s 15th president, serving from 2014 to 2021.

This event is accessible to both the campus community and the public. Doors will open at noon.

Parking will be provided in the lots next to the Westcott Building, which houses Ruby Diamond Concert Hall.
