The School of Theatre at Florida State University has designated Marcus Denard Johnson as the new head of the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training.

Johnson, a graduate of the program, brings a wealth of knowledge as an actor, director, and theatre educator.

“We are extremely thrilled to welcome Marcus back to take on the role of director of the Conservatory,” stated Brad Brock, head of the School of Theatre. “He’s a highly skilled alumnus, and he performed remarkably as interim director on very short notice. Collaborating with him over the last year has been enjoyable, and I am confident that in this capacity, he will persist in advancing the program and supporting our students, faculty, and staff.”
