Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) at Florida State University garnered 117 regional and national accolades throughout the 2024-25 academic year, underscoring the commitment of a community comprising over 7,500 students to outstanding achievement.

“I am immensely proud of our fraternity and sorority life community at FSU for being so richly recognized this past year,” remarked Amy Hecht, vice president for Student Affairs. “Our FSL organizations consistently pave the way in the national discussion regarding flourishing Greek organizations.”

Florida State University is home to more than 50 fraternity and sorority chapters across five governing platforms: Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Greek Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, Panhellenic Association, and United Greek Council. In the recently published 2026 rankings, Niche designated Florida State University as the No. 1 Best Greek Life College in America and No. 7 College with the Best Student Life in America.

The Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Greek Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and the Panhellenic Association at FSU received recognition at the regional level, collectively achieving 10 honors from the Southeastern Greek Leadership Association. FSU’s Panhellenic Association also secured the highest accolades both regionally and nationally for a collegiate panhellenic association.

“It is not unexpected to witness our community celebrated in this manner, as their dedication to excellence is observable on our campus daily,” commented Freddy Juarez, director of FSL. “Each organization and student persistently commit to nurturing collective excellence and thriving as one cohesive FSL community.”

Eight organizations received the top award conferred by their national organizations for a collegiate chapter: Alpha Delta Pi, Chi Omega, Delta Delta Delta, Kappa Sigma, Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, Pi Kappa Alpha, Sigma Delta Tau, and Zeta Tau Alpha. These honors acknowledge the exceptional chapter management, member development, and educational experiences provided by each chapter.

Furthermore, the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors honored FSU’s innovative program, 5 Senses of Hazing, with a 2025 Elevation in Practice – Innovation Award. Created by FSU FSL and its student-led peer education team, 5 Senses of Hazing aimed to disrupt normalized views surrounding hazing and question conventional methods of prevention education. This impactful programming initiative occurred over three days in June and affected more than 1,300 students, faculty, and staff.
