Florida State University is presenting a new accommodation and internship opportunity for learners seeking practical experience in the nation’s capital.
The FSU DC Study Away Program, situated in Washington, D.C., will grant students the chance to gain hands-on experience through internships at agencies, advocacy groups, corporate entities, and government establishments. A ceremonial ribbon cutting took place on Thursday, Sept. 25, to celebrate the event.
Beginning January 2026, students will reside in a nurturing community alongside their fellow learners, enabling them to concentrate on their internships while enjoying mutual support and engagement.
“Florida State is advancing — this is our moment,” remarked FSU President Richard McCullough. “With over 200 students and 7,500 alumni already situated in the D.C. region, this new housing project provides our students with a prime opportunity. This is aimed at affording our students access and a clear pathway to achievement.”
