Fascinating narrative:

USS Stein was navigating when her anti-submarine sonar equipment unexpectedly ceased functioning. Upon returning to harbor and placing the vessel in a drydock, technicians noticed numerous deep abrasions on the sonar dome’s rubber “NOFOUL” layer. In several spots, the coating was described as being torn, with fissures extending up to four feet in length. Substantial claws remained lodged at the base of most of the abrasions.

As always, feel free to use this squid article to discuss the security events in the headlines that I haven’t addressed.
