Boeing Executive Takes the Helm of Professional Education Division
Bade

John F. Bade, a previous executive of The Boeing Co. and a long-time educator in practice, has been appointed executive director of the Henry Edwin Sever Institute in the McKelvey School of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. This new position commenced on July 1.

Bade has served as program director for graduate studies in Sever’s Engineering Management program since 2022. He will persist in that capacity and as an educator in practice.

“I am thrilled that John Bade will be at the helm of the Sever Institute,” expressed Aaron F. Bobick, dean and the James M. McKelvey Professor. “John’s extensive background as an engineer and educator, coupled with his doctoral education and specialization in engineering management, distinctly qualifies him to manage these graduate programs. These initiatives serve a varied demographic of learners seeking to enhance their professional education in McKelvey Engineering.”
