EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT
DATE: 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2025
OCCASION: This year marks the 30th anniversary of the University of Michigan Department of Physics’ family-oriented Saturday Morning Physics lecture series. To commemorate this milestone, groups led by students from physics, the Department of Astronomy, and the College of Engineering will provide demonstrations and interactive experiences for inquisitive individuals of all ages to discover.
This occasion will also offer a first look at the upcoming STEMobile program, which aims to bring STEM engagement activities to schools, communities, and libraries throughout Southeast Michigan and further.
The festivities will feature an all-ages talk titled “Good Vibrations: The Science of Vibrations, Sound and Hearing.” Following this, attendees can enjoy activities presented by ZEUS, the university’s powerful laser facility, along with a special appearance from “Spot” the robot dog, who will entertain the crowd with dancing and more.
This event is complimentary and accessible to everyone.
LOCATION: Weiser Hall, 500 Church St., Ann Arbor
PARKING: Available at the Church Street Parking Structure for $10 per vehicle
