Google on Wednesday revealed that the Chinese state-sponsored threat group recognized as APT41 utilized a piece of malware termed TOUGHPROGRESS, which exploits Google Calendar for command-and-control (C2).
The technology giant, which identified the activity in late October 2024, reported that the malware was situated on a compromised government web page and was employed to attack various other governmental organizations.
