The WashU Empower initiative is set to receive a “What’s Right with the Region” accolade from Focus St. Louis at its 28th annual celebration on May 15.

An effort by the School of Continuing & Professional Studies (CAPS), the Empower program equips individuals with limited English skills with advanced English and professional competencies essential for securing jobs that align with their abilities and education. Furthermore, it offers career guidance and a chance to obtain a CAPS certification in healthcare, data analytics, project management, and other in-demand sectors at no charge.

Focus St. Louis is a nonprofit organization dedicated to aiding both emerging and seasoned community and business leaders in their endeavors to tackle challenges and foster the region’s development.
