The University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) produced a statewide economic influence of $899.3 million in 2024, signifying a fourth consecutive year of record-high contributions to the state’s economy.

Distributing the figures among the college’s tripartite mission of education ($265.6 million), scholarship ($258.8 million) and community engagement ($374.9 million), the overall impact of CAES in 2024 ranked third highest among schools, colleges, and units at UGA, contributing to the university’s total economic influence of $8.4 billion for that same year.

The total for 2024 reflects a 7% rise compared to 2023, when CAES reported an economic effect of $838.4 million.
