Apple on Tuesday disclosed that it deterred more than $9 billion in fraudulent activities over the past five years, with over $2 billion occurring in 2024 alone.
The organization noted that the App Store faces a multitude of risks aimed at scamming users in diverse manners, ranging from “misleading applications intended to capture personal data to deceitful payment tactics that try to take advantage of.”
