Recognition for Excellence: Anne Spencer Daves College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences Shines in Niche Rankings

Florida State University’s Anne Spencer Daves College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences (Anne’s College) has once again been honored among the nation’s premier colleges, based on the 2026 Niche Best Colleges rankings.

Within public four-year institutions, Anne’s College is positioned at No. 3 in sport management, No. 4 in kinesiology and physical therapy, and No. 5 in education.

The college advanced two positions in education, four in sport management, and seven in both kinesiology and physical therapy compared to last year’s public university evaluations.

In total, among both public and private four-year institutions across the country, Anne’s College ranks fifth in sport management, seventh in kinesiology and physical therapy, and eighth in education.

“These evaluations illustrate the progress and achievements of our programs in various fields, and we take pride in acknowledging our advancements,” stated Damon Andrew, dean of Anne’s College. “Our college is expanding not only in recognition but also in influence, thanks to the commitment of our faculty and staff, the enthusiasm of our students, and the backing of our alumni community. This solid foundation guarantees that we continue to cultivate leaders who foster positive transformations in their professions and communities.”

Niche is a research organization that generates an annual list of colleges and universities, backed by over 140 million reviews and ratings from students and alumni and reviews data from the U.S. Department of Education concerning academics, admissions, finances, and student life.

Niche developed its rankings to assist prospective students in finding the college that best suits them. In addition to the rankings, Niche assigns grades for various categories at each university. FSU consistently achieved A’s on its Niche report card, including A+ for academics, athletics, professors, and student life.

Anne’s College provides both undergraduate and graduate programs across six academic departments, which include Educational Leadership and Policy Studies; Educational Psychology and Learning Systems; Health, Nutrition, and Food Sciences; Human Development and Family Science; Teacher Education; and Sport Management. The college is also home to three laboratory schools and a multitude of research centers.
