A newly created accessible pathway in the Dunson Native Flora Garden at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia at UGA will enable additional visitors to enjoy the splendor of the indigenous plants and birds located within this area of the garden.

The newly constructed concrete trail, funded by the Riverview Foundation, will take the place of the prior mulch paths, which were uneven, steep, and narrow. The concrete pathway is 5 feet wide and is compliant with ADA standards, ensuring unobstructed access to the garden.

“Dunson is truly a remarkable garden,” commented the garden’s horticulture director, Jason Young. “It serves as a distinctive representation of our natural landscapes, and offering ADA access to this garden provides visitors with an opportunity to experience a stunning forest in an inclusive environment.”
