Since the continuous “ToolShell” exploitation initiative, where malicious actors target on-premise SharePoint servers through a sequence of two recently disclosed vulnerabilities[1,2,3], remains a focal point in cyber security news[4,5,6,7], I believed it would be an opportune moment to examine the issue of how swiftly we – as a global community – truly address actively-exploited vulnerabilities pertaining to our internet-facing systems.
