Introducing Grant Parsamyan: Coursera’s New Chief Data Officer

I am thrilled to introduce Grant Parsamyan as Coursera’s new Chief Data Officer, starting July 21, 2025.

Grant brings over 20 years of expertise in developing extensive data platforms and spearheading organization-wide data transformations. He has assisted firms in scaling quickly and accurately, integrating data engineering, infrastructure, and analytics to foster significant business results. Recently, Grant held the position of Chief Data & Information Officer at Alludo, where he directed data strategy, cloud upgrades, and cybersecurity initiatives. He also spent almost ten years at OpenTable, establishing the company’s enterprise data framework and cultivating a robust culture of data-informed decision-making. His prior positions include leadership roles at Yahoo and eHarmony.

Grant earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a focus on Information Systems from the University of Southern California.

As Coursera continues to broaden its global presence and invest in AI-enabled learning, data serves a crucial role in assisting us in serving learners, partners, and customers with reliability and scalability. From powering personalized features like role-based content suggestions and Coursera Coach to enhancing platform integrity and insights, data is fundamental to fulfilling our mission.
