Inseok Song, assistant professor of astronomy at the University of Georgia’s Franklin College of Arts and Sciences within the physics and astronomy department, has secured funding from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST).

Song’s JWST initiative, titled “JWST Mid-IR Observations of Warm Debris Disks around Nearby M-dwarfs,” aims to examine 19 M-type stars, which hold the distinction of being the least massive stars and the most prevalent in the Universe.
