Two months into his position as associate dean for University of Georgia Cooperative Extension, Michael Toews’s commitment has remained unwavering: UGA Extension revolves around individuals and faith.
“As the premier land-grant institution in Georgia, our efforts should prioritize farmers, families, and communities,” remarked Toews, who stepped into the new position on April 1.
Since becoming a member of the Department of Entomology at the UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences in 2006, Toews has taken on roles as a researcher, educator, and Extension expert.
He was designated co-director of the Center for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health prior to taking on the role of assistant dean at the UGA Tifton campus in 2020.
